Technical Solution Analysis

Windcave Payment Gateway: Windcave operates as a widely adopted, reliable payment gateway featuring secure, standardized interface displaying sale codes, amounts, and card details. The system ensures compliance with international security standards including PCI DSS and integrates seamlessly with e-commerce platforms.

Raw Implementation Limitations: The unmodified Windcave interface presented significant UX challenges for the retailer's specific context.

Identified Issues with Raw Windcave:

  • Visual inconsistencies with existing site style guide

  • Potential user hesitation due to interface mismatch

  • Trust concerns during checkout process stemming from design discontinuity

Design Solution

UI Redesign Strategy: The design approach focused on creating modal-like interaction patterns to maintain user focus during payment entry while preserving familiar visual language.

Key Design Decisions:

  • Modal/pop-up interaction pattern for concentrated payment focus

  • Integrated close functionality (red button) for user control and withdrawal option

  • Visual consistency with existing site design system
